1X's Series A2 financing round was led by OpenAI's Startup Fund, with participation from Sandwater, a Norway-based backer group, Alliance Ventures and Skagerak Capital, as well as Tiger Global. According to their website, Norwegian humanoid robotics company 1X's partners include well-known names such as NVIDIA, OpenAI, TigerGlobal, as well as a company like ADT Commercial. ADT Commercial is a Florida-based company that provides home and workplace security solutions. Unfortunately, there is no detailed information on 1X's website about what exactly it does.
According to ADT Commercial's website, the company aims to revolutionize the security industry with intelligent autonomous protection solutions such as humanoid robots and drones. Intuitive and interactive EvoGuard™ solutions, which will be launched in the near future, will dynamically monitor the user's environment, enabling features such as monitoring, video surveillance, two-way communication in facilities.
According to OpenAI, 1X is at the forefront of using safe, advanced technologies in robotics to increase the workforce.
