Cognitiwe, the predictive visual artificial intelligence platform, and Octopus, the smart signage platform, have made a deal to present the products they developed and the experiences they gained to the global retail market.
Cognitiwe and Octopus signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on AI-based image processing technologies, user-based advertising, and AI-based measurement and optimization.
In line with the agreement, Cognitiwe and Octopus are aiming to grow together globally by collaborating in the development of new standards and solutions needed to meet customer demands, will offer brands in the retail industry visual artificial intelligence supported smart signage that can display specific content for each customer.
Cognitiwe, founded by Attila Algan and Mete Bayrak in 2021, produced a predictive visual artificial intelligence platform, providing instant tracking of fresh vegetables and fruits in supermarkets for the first time in the world.

Cognitiwe also monitors the quality control processes on the production lines, stock monitoring, workplace safety and employee health. Company serves in the retail sector, to Migros and MAF Carrefour, in the production sector, to Tofaş, Borusan Mannesmann and MEXT (Turkish Metal Industrialists' Union Technology Center). Octopus, which was established in November 2020 as the spin-off of the creative agency working with global brands in the retail field with the equity of Emre Yıldız, is a SaaS model in the smart signage category that retails need. Octopus, whose main motivation is to use the screens installed in stores more efficiently, enabled interaction between the frequency of looking at the screen and the purchase for the first time in the world.
Octopus, which took an early stage investment tour in its 3rd month and received an investment of 6.5 million TL without a valuation, enlarged the team and moved its headquarters to London, provides the interaction between stock and screens, social media and screens, and customer and brand with its products used in 7 countries.
Octopus, which can work in harmony with every smart TV, combines software and artificial intelligence with the cameras placed on the screens, and provides a special offer and design to the customer by analyzing the age range, gender and staring time specific to the person looking at the screen. Octopus, which has closed another investment round with a global valuation of up to 7.5 million dollars, plans to open ADS, NFT and payment services in the near future.
