32Co Receives $2.5 Million Investment to Increase Access to Healthcare

Collaborative HealthTech start-up 32Co has closed an initial investment round led by Balderton Capital. The startup raised $2.5 million in this investment round. Founded by Dr. Sonia Szamocki, the platform continues to grow and expand rapidly to offer an innovative approach to accessible specialist healthcare.

32Co's goal is to revolutionize access to specialized healthcare by connecting general clinicians with specialists. The platform meets their needs by offering patients a range of specialist advice and clinical services without travel, waiting times and high costs. Thanks to this unique model, specialists are not limited to a single clinic and can continue their work. They can also generate additional income through general clinicians with existing patient relationships. This creates new revenue streams for both specialists and general clinicians, while increasing patient access to specialized services.

32Co Continues to Grow and Reach More and More People

Szamocki, founder and CEO of 32Co, drew on his own experiences in the healthcare sector to create the platform. As a doctor who trained at Oxford and worked in London hospitals, he observed the problem of general clinicians feeling isolated even in hospitals where they had easy access to specialist expertise. In order to meet this unmet demand, 32Co wants to empower general clinicians to provide more specialized care in their communities. Initially, the platform provided services in orthodontics. Now it is also serving the clear aligner (braces) industry. However, currently only a third of dentists are able to offer this treatment consistently, and the number of those able to intervene in more complex cases is very limited.

In order to solve this problem, 32Co has built a team of experienced orthodontists in direct collaboration with dentists around the world. This team established real-time, treatment-focused commercial collaborations to ensure safe and reliable results for clear aligner providers. 32Co has seen massive growth since April 2022, with hundreds of dentists signing up every month. The platform has attracted the interest of dentists worldwide. Since its inception, the platform has served hundreds of dentists every month. As a result, it has grown 5-fold with over 30% growth.
