In-Game Advertising Industry
More than 3 billion gamers worldwide and with the next generations moving away from television, advertising spend is increasingly flowing to games! According to projections, the in-game advertising industry will reach $32bn in 2023 and $46bn in 2027. The data also reveals a diverse demographic, with more than half of mobile gamers over the age of 35. In addition, 43 per cent of smartphone usage is for gaming, which will soon overtake social media. Given the size of the potential market, it may come as a surprise to hear that game makers are trying to monetise their games while most brands and marketers are still struggling to create scalable advertising campaigns. As of now, in-game advertising mainly consists of background billboards or intrusive video adverts.
Unlike background decorations, Monetizr offers businesses the chance to tell numerous and varied stories in a single session. The same SDK's back-end delivery of valuable, anonymous consumer behaviour data will prohibit the use of cookies. And it is crucial in light of the imminent introduction of new Apple privacy regulations that will restrict advertisers' access to consumer in-app data. The platform is compatible with marketing automation programmes such as Oracle Moat Measurement. It is also OMSDK compliant and SOC2 certified. Independent third parties such as Nielsen can measure Monetizr's engagement metrics as they are based on formats set by the IAB. Monetizr will expand its sales teams in North America by hiring additional employees in Atlanta, New York, Chicago and Philadelphia. It is stated that this new investment will come into play in two different areas. The second area of focus will be technical and product development, for which Monetizr will provide significant employment at its development centres in Helsinki, Riga and London.
