Anti-Vax Protests in Istanbul

The people who is against the Covid-19 vaccines, PCR tests and lockdowns in Turkey, has organised an "Anti-Vax" protest in Istanbul, Maltepe. The protests were held with the permission of the Istanbul Governor's Office. The protests were introduced to the public as the "Great Awakening Rally". City police from time to time wandered around the protest area and warned the protesters that the social distance should be observed and masks should be worn. But most of the protesters took off their masks (which is distributed by the police) and ignored the social distancing rules. Protesters carried banners that is written "Biological warfare, not vaccines" and chanted slogans against vaccines and restrictions. Interestingly there were some people in the protests chanting slogans against Bill Gates and shouted: "You too will be judged, Bill Gates."   [caption id="attachment_21580" align="aligncenter" width="696"] From Anti-Vax protests in Istanbul. Famous writers and journalists which is well known by the people were among those who participated in the protest. Famous Turkish conservative journalist Abdurrahman Dilipak was one of them.

"We Are Here to Challenge The Globalists!"

He said in his speech: "We are here to challenge global powers. You kept telling us like a story how the virus, which you claim to be Covid, was transmitted from bat to host and then to human as a contagion" and added, "Visits to relatives and friends were prevented, they said, do not shake hands or hug. I hope you hold the hand of your friend next to you. Now we are together. We're gonna break this game." There were also those who opposed to the protests. Turkish Medical Association (TTB) expressed their concerns about allowing the anti-vax protests and said: "Silence against those who disregard public health is a sign of insincerity in the fight against the pandemic" in their statement.
