Technology giant company has come up with interesting claims. Employees of Apple shared their negative experiences in the company with the AppleToo hashtag. One of the biggest tech companies in the world which is a career goal of many turned out to be different from what it seemed.
AppleToo Participants: We Want to Be Heard
Apple is where many people want to step into their careers and is one of the bosses of Silicon Valley. The world-renowned company has employees from many different countries. More than 100 thousand people work in the giant company whose head office is in the USA.
However, things are not quite as they seem. The AppleToo movement created in August is the biggest proof of this. People who worked or still working in the company shared negative experiences they have had in the company.

On a website where people share their ideas and feelings by writing, Apple employees shared their experiences. Hundreds of posts have been sent and many of them were quite tragic.
Cher Scarlett who is leading the movement spoke sincerely in an interview on the subject. Scarlett stated that Apple leaders had previously listened to complaints and produced solutions but that's no longer possible.
"We just want to be understood and heard. But we don't think Apple cares about as any more" she added.
The Secrets of Apple: Discrimination, Racism and Sexual Harassments
According to
AppleToo stories, two-thirds of the negative experiences are about discrimination. That's respectively followed by sexual harassment and racism. Female employees mostly stated that they were subjected to psychological or physical harassment by their male bosses.

On the other hand, they added that there are sexist approaches. In some offices in Europe, it was determined that there were racist approaches by their managers towards Black employees. The interesting part of it is even if the employees complained about this situation to the top management, they could not get a response.
Shortly after
AppleToo came to the agenda, Apple officials made a statement that they will investigate whole incidents, especially the discrimination experienced within the company. They said that the management will endeavor to resolve concerns or misunderstandings, and added:
"We will not make a discussion about individuals to protect personal privacy."
Apple seems to try to solve the problems within itself. However, this statement did not sound sincere for many employees. Instead of getting calm, they keep sharing their angriness and complaints about the company more and more.
