Comcast Announces 4th Quarter Results
Comcast announced the last quarter results of Peacock, its digital broadcasting platform. According to the results, the total loss of the company, which lost 978 million, is thought to reach 3 billion dollars. Comcast stated that the Peacock platform tripled its annual revenue to $2.1 billion. The platform gained 5 million additional paid subscribers in Q4, surpassing 20 million subscribers in total.
The digital streaming platform earned a total of 8 billion dollars, down 5 percent compared to Q4 last year. At the same time, the platform lost 440 thousand video customers in the last quarter.
Comcast announced last quarter that it will consolidate the majority of its cable and streaming services under the UL system in 2023. Brian Roberts, president and CEO of Comcast, said that in 2023 they will launch a single global user interface for both international and US partners with Xuma, Sky Glass, Flex and X1.
