Today EA SPORTS and the Football Foundation, the charitable arm of the Premier League, the FA and the UK Government, unveiled the 'Rocky and Wrighty Arena' at Turnham Academy in South London. The pitch, opened by England legend Ian Wright, will provide additional football access for young people in the area and help inspire the next generation of players. Later this year, FC FUTURES will create a public library of training apps, produced in five languages, that will be available for young players and community coaches to view online and use for their training plans. In addition, FC FUTURES will provide community access to soccer by supporting the creation and renovation of pitches facilitated and distributed through foundations, federations and leagues.
Finally, FC FUTURES will invest in grassroots training accessories that will deliver soccer equipment in the form of balls, bibs, cones and wider basic equipment. Electronic Arts has agreed to a multi-year partnership with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) to further support football at community level through consultation with UEFA Grassroots Football Coaches and investment in UEFA Grassroots football initiatives.
