Google has invested nearly $400 million in artificial intelligence startup Anthropic and is currently testing a product that rivals OpenAI's ChatGPT. But they also announced that Anthropic will use Google's cloud computing services. This collaboration represents the latest advances in generative artificial intelligence, which can produce text and art in seconds. Alphabet's (GOOGL.O) Google has agreed to invest a maximum of $ 2 billion in the artificial intelligence company Anthropic, a company representative said on Friday. Google is already an investor in Anthropic, and this new investment increases competition against Microsoft, which created OpenAI's ChatGPT in the race to integrate artificial intelligence into the applications of major technology companies. Amazon.com (AMZN.O) also announced last month that it would invest up to $4 billion in Anthropic to compete with its growing cloud rivals.

Alphabet's Google Approach and Amazon Increase Competition in AI
In its periodic report filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission this week, Amazon announced a $1.25 billion bond investment in Anthropic. And it detailed that it has the ability to invest a maximum of $2.75 billion in a second note due to expire in the first quarter of 2024. Google declined to comment, while Amazon did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment. These increased investment amounts reflect cloud companies' efforts to secure their relationships with the artificial intelligence startups shaping their industries.
