Neko Health
What do we know about Neko Health? It specializes in operating private clinics equipped with proprietary diagnostic products, including its own full-body 3D scanner. This cutting-edge technology includes multiple sensors that work with the company's AI software to provide instant results on potential skin conditions and flag concerns about cardiovascular health. The company's first clinic opened in Stockholm earlier this year. So far, it has performed more than 1,000 scans.
Patients visiting Neko Health's clinics pay 250 euros for a 10-20 minute full body examination followed by a doctor's consultation. In fact, about 80 percent of clients have prepaid for follow-up scans within a year. Hjalmar Nilsonne, the other co-founder and CEO of Neko Health, also emphasized that the company employs its own team of nurses, doctors and specialists to provide patients with high-quality care. Dermatologists are specially hired to examine skin images. If necessary, an on-site doctor is also available to make qualified medical decisions.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many healthcare services are shifting their startups towards telehealth solutions. However, Neko Health continues to focus on in-clinic testing at this stage. Nilsonne also believes that having medical experts physically on-site to review client results and make recommendations is essential to ensure accurate diagnosis and personalized care.
Why is Neko Health's recent funding success so important? It marks an important milestone for the company as it prepares to expand beyond Sweden. Neko Health, with its innovative diagnostic products and commitment to transparency and patient care, aims to revolutionize the healthcare industry by prioritizing prevention and personalized treatment. The participation of leading investors such as Niklas Zennstrom also highlights the potential for this medical diagnostics startup to make a lasting impact.
