Why Huawei's P50 Series Isn't on the Global List?
Huawei Central reported that the Huawei P50 series has been removed from the company's global smartphone market. All store pages reportedly returned a “No results found” message when searching for P50 series smartphones. However, as of now, Huawei has not disclosed the reason behind the removal.
It is thought that this may be due to the Leica brand on the back of the phones. It should be noted that Huawei has been developing its flagship cameras together with Leica for the last 6 years. However, Leica has terminated its partnership with Huawei. And it has joined hands with Xiaomi. With this change, the P50 series marked the end of the brand's partnership with the German company.
As mentioned, the Huawei P50, P50 Pro, and P50E will no longer ship with the Leica logo. However, it is not known why the company decided to remove the logo at this point. However, the change does not seem to affect the camera hardware of smartphones. The high-end P50 Pro still has a 50MP primary camera with OIS and f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (f/2.2), a 40MP Monochrome camera (f/1.6) and a 64MP one.
