Kepler Communications Plans to Launch Pathfinder Satellite in 2023
The company offers customers a clear solution to meet all communications requirements for missions through a service level agreement (SLA). The Canada-based satellite technology startup's SLA includes edge computing, communications payloads for optical-RF, ground infrastructure, spectrum licenses and security.
The regularization of communication will be realized by the Kepler Network. The Kepler Network will serve as an internet exchange point to transfer data from space to other space. With the network infrastructure, communication in orbit will be streamlined. The ready constellation designed for the Internet will transmit data to the spacecraft in real time.
The startup will first test and then validate the optical communication technology designed specifically for the Kepler constellation. In the fall of 2023, it will launch two Pathfinder satellites. In addition to the satellites, the company operates its own ground stations. It also manufactures in-house satellite production facilities. The $92 million investment received by the venture will be used to launch a constellation of optical communication satellites in 2024.
