An accomplished geneticist, Durmuş started his education at the Department of Molecular Biology at Middle East Technical University in 2003. While continuing his undergraduate education at METU, she won a Fulbright scholarship and went to the USA. In 2014, Durmuş started working as a researcher at Stanford University. In 2015, she was included in MIT Technology Review's "Innovators Under 35 List". She became one of the 35 outstanding leaders in both biology and medicine.
The young scientist's achievements are not limited to this. She is also conducting research at Stanford University's Genome Technology Center with Prof. Ronald W. Davis, one of the coordinators of the Human Genome Project. Naşide Gözde Durmuş is working on a device that will detect diseased cells based on the magnetic properties of cells. The successful scientist is working on diseases such as cancer and antibiotic resistance with nano-micro technologies that threaten the world. She develops devices suitable for the treatment of diseases by utilizing biomedical, informatics, mathematics, medicine and engineering sciences.
