MediaTek is gearing up to launch a new mid-range chipset called the Dimensity 8200 in China. The processor was originally scheduled to be released on December 1st. However, the event was canceled due to the death of China's former leader Jiang Zemin. The iQOO Neo7 SE, which will be released on the same day as the processor, will be the first phone to feature it. MediaTek announced in a Weibo post that its latest Dimensity 8200 processor will be released in China on December 8. It is possible that the chipset will be introduced alongside the iQOO Neo7 SE and iQOO 11 series. The new chip will focus more on energy efficiency.

MediaTek to debut its new processor
While MediaTek hasn't revealed much information about the upcoming mobile processor, some leaks claim it will come with four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. It will likely feature one A78 core running at 3.1GHz, three A78 cores at 3.0GHz and four efficient A55 cores at 2.0GHz. It will support the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU found in the Dimensity 8100.
iQOO Neo7 SE will be the first device powered by the Dimensity 8200 chip. The phone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It will come with a 16 Megapixel front camera. For photography, it will have a triple setup consisting of a 64 Megapixel main camera with OIS, a 2 Megapixel macro and a 2 Megapixel depth camera. The smartphone could come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It will be backed by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. On the software front, it will support Android 3 operating system based on OriginOS 13.
