Nia Health, a digital solution for the treatment and support of people with chronic skin conditions, has received an investment of 3.5 million euros. High-Tech Gründerfonds played a leading role in this investment round. Other investors included adesso Ventures and Ventura BioMed Investors, the fund of pharmaceutical industry expert Dr. Kurt Schwarz.

Nia Health offers products such as Nia, a leading atopic dermatitis app, digital therapeutics and patient tracking technologies. The newly raised capital will be used for expansion in German-speaking countries and for promotion in other EU countries over the next 24 months, as well as to prepare for entry into the US market. The funding will also be used for innovative solutions combining machine vision, natural language processing and teledermatology to further develop AI-based technologies.
Nia Health's technology is currently being used in five clinical trials, one of which is being conducted at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. One of these studies is a randomized controlled trial in which Nia Health's solution is successfully investigating the efficacy of accompanying therapy. In these studies, company solution has been shown to have positive effects on patients' quality of life.
Nia Health's success is driven by the growing importance of real-world evidence. Last year, the company more than doubled its revenue compared to 2021. Nia Health's partners include Sanofi, Pfizer, LEO Pharma and various large legal organizations and health insurers such as Kaufmännische Krankenkasse KKH or AOK PLUS.
