Oxford-Based Medical Device Company OrganOx Receives Investment

The company was founded in 2008 by renowned Oxford University Professors Peter Friend and Constantin Coussios. Its device, metra, protects donor livers. It also allows organs to be assessed before transplantation, reducing organ discard and allowing surgeons to perform transplants during working days rather than an emergency at night. OrganOx is a medical device company based in Oxford. It has received investment with the backing of existing investors. The company raised 25 million pounds in a growth financing round led by Lauxera Capital Partners.
