Background of TalentGrid
TalentGrid was founded in 2019 by Ecem Korkmaz Gelal, Bahar Güneş Scigaj and Erdem Gelal. The platform prioritizes the needs of software developers. It follows an unusual path by not asking for a CV to find the most suitable company for software developers. Instead, it asks you to create your talent profile and share your experiences here. In this way, it understands your technical experience and areas of expertise and analyzes it to create a better matching performance. TalentGrid also wants to learn from you the ideal job in your mind and the advantages you want to take advantage of, in order to learn about the work environment in which you will be happy to work. This could be a meal card, an education and development budget, or a private health insurance plan.
With the introduction of remote work in 2021 and the increasing demand for technical talents, the startup has expanded its developer network in Central and Eastern Europe, especially in Turkey. Its client portfolio now includes global companies in the UK, Germany, USA, France, Netherlands, Denmark, and Portugal.
Ecem Korkmaz Gelal, co-founder and CEO of TalentGrid, said that countries such as Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania are unexplored markets as software developer pools. The company aims to gain access to a talented new software developers by increasing its expertise in these regions.
