August 3, 2024 was a proud day for Turkish engineering achievement. Turkey's first Level 4 autonomous minibus developed by ADASTEC was successfully tested and exhibited at Michigan Central Station in Detroit, Michigan, USA. ADASTEC is a Turkey-based technology company focused on developing driverless and autonomous vehicle technologies. Turkey's first Level-4 autonomous bus, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, uses ADASTEC's flowride.ai software platform. The buses are equipped with advanced technology such as high-resolution cameras, LiDAR sensors, thermal cameras and artificial intelligence technologies. Thanks to these features, it can operate safely and efficiently by detecting factors such as traffic lights, stops and passenger movements. The company is making a global name for itself with its driverless bus technology, with projects not only in Turkey but also in the US, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and European countries. In particular, the driverless bus, which was put into service in Stavanger, Norway, is the first in urban public transportation in Europe. 

ADASTEC 

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced ADASTEC's success on social media and conveyed his congratulations. Kacır emphasized that ADASTEC has a Test Center at the Informatics Valley in Turkey and an R&D Center at Boğaziçi University's BÜDOTEK Teknopark, and has introduced the first Level-4 autonomous bus in the US. The driverless bus technology developed by ADASTEC brings the future for the transportation sector. This technology aims to reduce traffic accidents, alleviate traffic congestion and make public transportation more efficient.  ADASTEC aims to continue Turkey's leadership in this field by developing more projects in the field of autonomous vehicle technologies in the coming period.

Previously, Turkish engineers made a name for themselves with the development of the world's longest electric ferry. Such projects prove that Turkey is a major player in the field of vehicle technologies.
