Wastespresso Manages Companies' Coffee Waste
Wastespresso operates with the goal of establishing a global coffee waste management chain. The startup serves businesses that generate coffee waste with its sustainable technological infrastructure. It does this by upcycling the waste and producing various biomaterials for the packaging industry. Biomaterials such as cups, spoons, straws and flower pots are manufactured.
The raw material production and micro waste management system developed by the startup also plays an active role in creating sustainable products for companies. It also calculates carbon emissions while providing alternative raw material production and micro waste management system services to companies. It then presents these carbon emissions to companies in the form of a report. Since its establishment, the Turkish startup has collaborated with more than 30 companies such as Yemeksepeti, Media Markt and Decathlon. The startup has also transformed more than 500 tons of coffee waste so far. It has prevented 308 thousand tons of CO2e carbon emissions.
