Investments in Travel Technologies Continue Unabated
In recent years, the travel industry has been undergoing transformational change with a focus on hyper-personalized, customized and connected travel experiences in line with growing customer demands. This change is being facilitated by exciting new technological developments and innovations, and startups are paving the way forward.
Worldia is a Paris-based startup that enables distributors and suppliers in the travel industry (travel agencies, major e-commerce brands, concierge services, etc.) to offer unique, personalized trips. The platform facilitates the creation, planning and booking of trips to over 80 global destinations, leveraging proprietary technology, a curated product catalog and personalized services. This enables travelers to have travel experiences that stand out on social media.
Banque des Territoires is particularly proud to take part in Worldia's new financing round.
Traveltech company Worldia recently completed a new version of its platform, aiming to scale its model to €1 billion GMV. This scaling plan will include the strengthening of third-party connections, new AI-powered features, operations enhancements and services in new destinations. In addition to being a major player in the French market, Worldia has successfully expanded in the German, Belgian and Spanish markets, and has conducted its first pilot in the US. The new financing will trigger the beginning of a new era of scale-up with plans to unlock new possibilities for travel planning, booking and operating by making the technology available to travel operators in Europe and North America.
